Plus Points: Fantastic location overlooking sea.

Negative Points: The food and cleanliness was appalling. Sausage in some form or another every breakfast, bacon every other day with either beans or eggs. Evening meal first day was plastic pork in gravy, sausage in batter, no vegetables other than chips at any meal. On the last day, choice of evening meal was beefburgers or fish fingers. Salad consisted of lettuce, tomatoes, onions and beetroot. Once the basket of bread rolls was finished, it was not re-filled. Soup consisted mainly of gravy with either pasta or something else (not sure what) floating in it. Every evening we went into the restaurant, looked to see what there was, then left! Breakfasts, same routine. Thank the Lord for the Antic restaurant/bar next door but one. Excellent food, drink and company. Thoroughly recommend you visit them.
Whilst the rooms were big and the view stupendous, they were not cleaned all week. Towels were replaced mid-week but beds not changed, the bathroom not cleaned, floors not washed, self-catering facilities a health hazard. It is the first time I have ever had to clean the toilet, even though I have visited 3rd world countries and not had any problem. S'illot is fantastic - the place, the people are brilliant and we will definitely be going back again, though absolutely not to the Mirgay. You have been warned!
